Dear Editor,

The prosecution and persecution of Martha Stewart is wrong. Here is a very busy woman with many things on her mind. Much of that pertains to her role as a major job-provider, whose employees pay a lot of taxes in addition to the taxes paid by her company and by her personally. Meanwhile, in the midst of her busy life, a friend calls and says "sell", so she sold. That's the worst-case scenario. There wasn't any desire or intent to screw anybody, and the proceeds from 4000 shares of stock meant nothing to her. It was just a blip in a day for her, and now those who are jealous of her want to take her down for it. Just let her get back to being the benefactor she has always been, in peace.

Thank you,  John Vehon
