Dear Editor,
I have an idea for those who feel persecuted for their religion because President Obama
wants them to pay for birth control, which is an affront to their morality – which apparently
entails that all women should have as many babies as they possibly can. As a non-believer,
myself – not an atheist, just one who recognizes that all religions are man-made; if God had
something to say, he would say the same thing to everybody, and there would be no question
about it – I feel kind of persecuted that I have to support those religions I don't believe
in because of the tax advantages that they enjoy. So my idea is that they can start paying
their fair share of taxes like everybody else – unless, of course, you're rich – and then the
revenue can be used to make sure everybody has all the birth control they need, which is a
necessary social function.
Thank you,
John Vehon
